The scene opened with Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D., standing backstage at Warfare in front of a Queen of the Ring backdrop. Britt was dressed in her black and yellow ring gear and a leather jacket. Her usual confident smirk had been replaced with a more determined, focused expression. Britt looked tired –
battle-worn, not exhausted – but there was a fire in her eyes that had never quite gone out.

Britt Baker: Fallout didn’t go the way I wanted it to.

Britt paused, letting out a sigh. There was no bravado, no sarcasm… Just honest reflection.

Britt Baker: I walked into Madison Square Garden as the EBWF Women’s Champion. I walked out empty-handed. Mina Shirakawa… you got the better of me that night. There was no Himeka in your corner. No smoke and mirrors, no tricks. Just you and me, one-on-one, bell-to-bell… and you earned that win. I said I wanted a fight between two of the best in the world, and that’s what we gave people. And as much as it pains to say it – you were the better woman that night. So, for that, Mina… you’ve got my respect. You’ve earned the love and respect of the EBWF universe too… you could hear it from their reactions inside the Garden when your hand was raised. Credit where credit is due, but don’t get too comfortable with that title. Because whether it’s at Gateway to Glory, or further down the line… I’ll be back for it.

Britt exhaled, brushing her hair behind her ear.

Britt Baker: Which brings me to tonight. EBWF Warfare, live from the Bell Centre in Montreal! In my first match since losing the Women’s Championship, I’m entering the first round of the Queen of the Ring tournament. I told the world that if I ever lost the championship, I’d do what I’ve always done when I’ve been knocked down. That I’d get back up, and I’d fight. And that’s exactly what I’m doing. I could’ve taken my rematch; that would have been my right, especially since I never got a rematch when Tam Nakano ended my first reign as EBWF Women’s Champion. But I waived that right, and asked for a spot in Queen of the Ring instead. Because I don’t want a shortcut. I want to earn my way back to the top. I want to look Mina in the eye next time we face off and say, “I climbed the mountain. Again.” No favours, no special treatment. Just grit, determination, and a little bit of pain.

Britt smirked slightly, the fire building now.

Britt Baker: Tonight, I start that climb. But let’s not pretend it’s going to be easy. I don’t just have one opponent tonight… I’m competing in a triple threat match with Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. Two women who want the same thing I do – to wear the crown, punch their ticket to Total Supremacy, and eventually challenge for the EBWF Women’s Championship. To try to be the one to dethrone Mina. The thing about triple threats, though, is that it doesn’t matter how hard you fight. It doesn’t matter if you dominate the match. Because all it takes is one moment. One mistake. One second where you’re on the outside, and someone else steals the win. I could lose tonight without ever being pinned or submitted. That’s the risk. But it’s a risk I’m willing to take. Because I believe in myself. I believe in my ability. And more importantly? I believe in the fight I still have left in me.

She stepped forward, her tone sharpening.

Britt Baker: Let’s start with you, Rhea.

Britt’s eyes narrowed, her voice low but laced with disdain.

Britt Baker: We’ve done this dance before. Twice before in EBWF, you and I have stepped into that ring together to go one on one. And twice before, you’ve tapped out to the Lockjaw. But every time I see you, I hear the same tired growl about how you’re the biggest, baddest woman in this division. Newsflash, Rhea – you’re not as tough as you think you are. You walk around with Jamie Hayter like the two of you are queens of the underworld, all attitude and eyeliner, sneaking up behind people like the cowards you are. And maybe that works on some of the other women around here. Maybe the fear factor gets to them. But not me. I’ve beaten you before, and I’ll do it again. If you’re hoping Jamie Hayter’s going to save you tonight, remind her that this match is no disqualification. If she gets involved, I won’t whine about it – I’ll deal with it. Because I’m not scared of either of you.

Britt turned slightly, shifting her focus. Her voice softened, but only slightly.

Britt Baker: And then there’s Liv Morgan. You and I have been here before, too. And like Rhea, you’ve tapped out to me – twice. The last time? In this exact tournament, almost one year ago to the day. But I’m not taking that for granted. You’ve always had heart, Liv. You fight with everything you’ve got. And unlike the Daughters of Darkness, you don’t need to jump people backstage to make a statement. I respect that. I respect you. But history matters, Liv. And history tells me that when it’s you versus me, I come out on top. So I hope you bring your best, Liv … because I will.

Britt pulled off her leather jacket, draping it over her shoulder as stared down the camera.

Britt Baker: Tonight, I start a new chapter. Not as the reigning Women’s Champion. Not as the Queen of the Ring… not yet, anyway. Tonight, I’m just as a woman who refuses to quit. If I lose tonight, I’ll find another path forward. I’ll keep fighting. Because that’s who I am. That’s what I do. And if I win? Then it’s one step closer to Total Supremacy. One step closer to a date with Mina at Gateway to Glory. One step closer to becoming a three-time EBWF Women’s Champion. Get ready, Montreal. Because Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, is coming to reclaim her spot on top. And whether it’s Rhea, Liv, or anyone else who gets in my way… they’re all just one Lockjaw away from tapping out to destiny.

Britt flashed her signature smirk, then walked off camera with a purpose, leaving nothing but silence and intensity in her wake.
