OOC: Good luck to everybody, if anyone has any feedback that'd be awesome.

The Sprint Center was the site of the final PPV of the year, the one night where EBWF goes extreme. Every match had a stipulation, starting with a First Blood match and concluding with a Hell in a Cell match. Every match would be brutal and there would be many sore bodies the following day. Over the last several months, Ted had been subjected to many gruelling exchanges, from his 3 Stages of Hell match to Ladder matches against the best in EBWF, there were no easy days for Ted. At Survivor Series, Ted fell short of his goal of becoming World Champion, losing 2 falls to 1 against CM Punk. While Ted was disappointed, he had great respect for CM Punk after that match and he felt as though Punk respected him a lot more after that match. The match that the two had put on was a clear Match of the Year candidate and they had pushed each other to their limits. Ted's next challenge came in the form of the Mexican Aristocrat, Alberto Del Rio. The scene opened at a home, presumably Ted's. Ted sat in a large, elegant chair with a warm fire roaring behind him in the fireplace, above the fireplace there would usually rest stockings but Ted's Path to Glory Championship was placed there for the Christmas season. To the right of the fireplace was a large Christmas tree, decorated with a large golden star placed on top.

Ted Jr: 'Tis the season to be jolly. Isn't that what they say? But how is it that someone of my calibre and importance is ignored at this time? How is it that an arrogant, disillusioned thief like Alberto Del Rio can steal my championship with no consequences? On Christmas Eve, I will have held the Path to Glory Championship for 330 days. That's over two months longer than the previous record for longest reign in EBWF history. Now people have tried to say that I haven't faced high calibre wrestlers in 330 days. I have faced the likes of Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Christian, and Kurt Angle. Since EBWF was founded 11 years ago those four alone have held over 15 World Championships between them. That's not even counting other titles from other companies. Alberto Del Rio had the nerve to take what is mine and now we find ourselves in a Ladder match. My championship will once again be taken from me and placed high above the ring waiting for me to take it.

Ted took a small sip of the glass of scotch that was placed on the table next to him.

Ted Jr: Our interim CEO, Chris Jericho clearly doesn't know how to treat and respect his champions. He allows a thug like Alberto Del Rio to steal the greatest championship in EBWF with no consequences at all. He didn't call the match off like I said, he didn't show me the respect that I deserve, and now I'm forced to compete in a ladder match. I know why Jericho sympathises with Del Rio, it's because back when I held the Tag Team Championship and as usual I was looking unstoppable. I was set to break the record for the longest reigning Tag Team Champion in history, that was until Jericho and Lance Storm stole my championships. Did I get a chance to retrieve my championship? Did Jericho face any consequences? No, of course not.

Ted was agitated now and downed the remaining scotch.

Ted Jr: On Christmas Eve, I will exact my own version of justice. I will hurt you and destroy any hope you had of winning my championship. I have already defended this championship once in a ladder match, to a man far greater than you and with much more expertise with ladders. I defeated Christian, who has been in more Ladder matches than I have, and has won a large proportion of those matches. But I proved to everyone that it doesn't matter what stipulations there are, I will still retain my championship. So come Christmas day when children around the world begin to open their presents, I'll be holding my Path to Glory Championship just like every other day this year. And for all the money you have in the world, this is one thing that you can't buy. I earned this championship and there is nobody, NOBODY that will take it from me.

Ted stood up and grabbed his championship.

Ted Jr: I'm Ted DiBiase and the longest reigning champion in EBWF history... but you already know that.

Ted returned to his seat and poured another glass of scotch as the scene faded.

Scene 2
Ending 2012 as the Path to Glory Champion meant everything to Ted DiBiase. Nobody expected him to beat Punk's reign, but Ted defied the odds. Nobody expected him to become the longest reigning champion of the past 11 years that EBWF has been established, but yet again Ted defied insurmountable odds to hold onto the championship. Now he had one last challenge, one man stood between him and victory and Ted saw it as his toughest challenge to date. Alberto Del Rio had done what no other challenger had done: he got into Ted's head. Taking the championship from Ted after his match on Warfare took Ted by surprise. After recovering the championship, Ted had not let it out of his sight since. Wherever he could, he held onto that championship like it was a small child. He had formed a bond with the belt and the two were aligned. Without it he felt naked, exposed and lost. At night, it would be placed next to him, so in the morning he would see that championship before anything else. He brought prestige to the championship, his identity and image was centred around the championship and to lose it would mean Ted would lose part of himself, part of his identity. The Sprint Center was jam packed and as Ted sat alone in his locker room he held onto the title, cradling it in his arms. He valued the championship more than anything. While sitting, DiBiase heard a knock on the door followed by a crew member walking in.

Crew Member: Uh, excuse me Mr DiBiase. We need to take the PTG title now so we can hang it above the ring.

Ted's eyes stared straight through the crew member. He gripped his championship tightly, not wanting to relinquish it for anyone. He looked down at the championship and spoke to it.

Ted Jr: You're mine. Nothing will separate us. You've gotta go now but I'll get you back. Don't worry; everything is going to be fine.

He kissed the championship before slowly handing over the championship to the crew member. Immediately the crew member left and Ted was alone. He sat there in silence, he was saddened by the departure of his championship and it was only now that he began to show it. Soon after the crew member left, there came another knock on the door. Once again, the door opened and this time Michael Cole entered the room.

Michael Cole: Are you ready for your interview Ted?

Ted just waved him on without looking at him. Ted's head rested in his hands as Michael Cole began his interview.

Michael Cole: Good evening everybody and welcome to Christmas Eve of Destruction the one night where EBWF goes extreme! With me at this time is Ted DiBiase who is looking to extend his record breaking championship reign into the New Year. Tonight you'll be facing Alberto Del Rio in a ladder match and I have to ask you first where you are mentally for this. Del Rio has been playing mind games with you after taking your championship several weeks ago on Warfare.

Ted slowly looked up at Cole before standing.

Ted Jr: Do you know what it felt like to lose something that you've held onto for 330 days? I felt naked going through airport security with it. I felt naked walking backstage with it. And now Jericho wants to hurt me further by having my championship hang from the roof.

Michael Cole: As I mentioned earlier, your reign as Path to Glory Champion has lasted for 11 months and if you hold onto your championship until the day after the Royal Rumble, you will have held the championship for a full year.

Ted Jr: 11 months has gone by and nobody has looked close to taking this from me. I've jumped through every hoop and cleared every hurdle that people have put in front of me to hold onto the championship and now that I'm about to hold the championship for a year, everything feels so natural. In those 11 months I have defeated World Champions, EBWF legends and put on some of the greatest matches. Just look at my match with Punk at Survivor Series or my match with AJ Styles.

Michael Cole: Both matches were for the World Championship and you fell short in the end.

Ted Jr: THANK YOU, COLE. Regardless of the result, we put on the best matches and nobody can deny that fact.

Michael Cole: Seeing as the year is nearly at an end, do you have a New Year’s Resolution?

Ted Jr: It's the same one that I have every year. Win the big one. Become the World Champion. And if I can hold onto the Path to Glory Championship for another year, that would be good as well.

Michael Cole: On Warfare, you suffered an upset loss to Bully Ray. Could he be a new contender should you retain?

Ted Jr: My "shock loss" didn't bother me. It wasn't for the Path to Glory Championship and that's all that matters. I have held onto this championship for 330 days and I'm still being put in pointless matches against the likes of Bully Ray and Zack Ryder. What about Del Rio? The man who stole my championship is not booked for any matches at all.

Michael Cole: One aspect of your match tonight that we haven't covered is Alberto Del Rio's personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez. He is known for helping Del Rio in his matches and with the Ladder match being no disqualifications; his presence could impact on the match. How will you combat him?

Ted Jr: If he even steps foot in the ring, I'll shove a ladder down his throat.

It was blunt and graphic, but Ted meant it.

Michael Cole: Ladder matches are known as being very dangerous and the ladders are used not only to retrieve the championship, but they are also used as weapons. The likelihood of someone being injured is high.

Ted Jr: Ladders are an interesting weapon. If Del Rio wants to climb one, he better make sure that I'm incapacitated or I'll push him right off it. Or I could throw a ladder into his face, the possibilities are endless.

Michael Cole: Any final words before your match?

Ted Jr: 2012 has been my year, nobody can deny that. I won this championship in my first match back from injury and I've been going strong since. If Del Rio, Jericho or anyone thinks that I am not going to reach 365 days as champion, they are sorely mistaken. 2013 is going to be another great year for me, and once again it will be paved with championship gold.
