Christmas Eve of Destruction went off air and the matches for the upcoming Live Warfare got announced not too long after, the advertised main event pits The Miz against Ted DiBiase and Christian for the Intercontinental title.
Ken Anderson attempted to invoke his rematch clause for the IC title which ended up in a no contest the week prior to CEOD, request which was turned down by Interim CEO Chris Jericho, who instead handed Anderson a suspension.
It is unknown if Anderson has any heat on him, despite having a bust up with Mike Mizanin a couple of months ago, they have been working matches in house shows. There is no explanation to suspend Anderson for violations in wellness or working policy either.
It was reported that Anderson was scheduled to go over and beat The Miz for the title a couple of months ago, but the board of directors called an audible and had the match end in a no contest due to Paul Heyman's request. Heyman apparently wanted the two superstars to have a big time feud... Yet they duo hasn't featured in one on one matches ever since their no contest.
Is there actual disappointment with Anderson's booking as of late?
Paul Heyman tweeted earlier today:

HeymanHustle: So not only @MrKenAnderson got suspended but also stripped off his title shot? With contract negotiations coming up this ought to be interesting!
Anderson returned to EBWF one week before the Rumble, asking to be the 30th entrant and ending up runner up to AJ Styles. He signed a one year contract and is yet to renew. Which brings up the question: Does Anderson really want to end his EBWF contract? He is one of the midcarders who hasn't been given a title shot in the whole year, despite a decent reign as Interconinental champion and Royal Rumble runner up.
It is uknown if Heyman's tweet is a shoot on the lack of opportunities for Anderson or a wink to interim CEO Chris Jericho, to whom Anderson has often referred to a "Living legend" and "Someone who he would love to work something big". Reportedly, Anderson and Jericho have been close to working together in the past. Jericho and Storm once said it in an interview "If there's anyone in the EBWF roster we would've wanted to have in FedEx it was Anderson", there were plans to put Jericho as the head of a face faction in late 2010 with Anderson and Austin Aries, but Aries got released before the faction came to be. Will we see a Jericho/Anderson feud anytime soon?
