A Lesson In War...Fare

.:: Scene opens up zoomed on Damien Sandow sitting at a table. He is wearing a blue shirt with a picture of him that reads, "I'm Damien Sandow!" on the front. As the camera pans out you see a young child sitting across from him and a chess board in between the two of them. The child is probably between the age of 12 or 14 by the size of him. He is wearing glasses and is noticeably over weight wearing a Santino EBWF t-shirt. He wears a medal around his neck that reads, "Southwestern Divisional Champion". As the child reaches for his rook to make a move Sandow says, "Son, are you sure that is the move you want to make?" The kid takes his hand off the piece and examines the board for another moment. He then reaches out and touches the same piece and moves it to where he was originally going to place it. "Good move" Sandow says sarcastically. "Kid, are you watching? Because this is the end of the game. And after all, if we don't learn from our mistakes, we will never succeed in the future." Sandow grabs his Queen and places it down on the board with authority; "Check mate!" The kid puts his head down in defeat as a frown comes to his face. "I am now the Southwestern Divisional Champion! Give me that metal around your neck!" The kid points to his medal he fought so hard to earn. Sandow nods as to let him know he was talking about that exact medal. The kid takes the medal off from around his neck and reluctantly hands it to Sandow. Sandow looks over the medal and puts it around his neck. "Geez this is small. I am worthy of a medal way bigger and more prestigious than this! I don't want this garbage! Do you want your medal back kid?" The kid nods his head excitedly in acknowledgement. Sandow stands up and walks towards the entrance of the building they are in. "You want it, go and get it!" Sandow throws the medal out the front door and laughs to himself as the kid chases after it. He turns around into the building and for the first time acknowledges that there is a camera in front of him. He pauses for a moment to collect himself, and begins to speak to the camera. ::.

Damien Sandow: Welcome to the beautiful Burton Barr Central Library. The one decent place in this city of pathetic trash! I have come here today, on the eve of my inaugural Warfare match, to prepare myself mentally for the man they call, Santino Marella. No physical preparation is needed, as I am already in peak condition to succeed! Before that rude child you just saw interrupted me, I was sitting in silence recollecting my match at Fallout. Some call it prayer, some call it meditation, I call it MOTIVATION! Sitting and thinking about how Sheamus Brogue kicked me in the face. Thinking about how D'Lo Life Brown pinned me for the three count. Sheamus, you are lucky you even made it to that ring to participate in the match. I was this close to taking you out before that match, so close I could taste it! But I didn't! And to be honest I can't imagine why. I guess I wanted my start here to be fresh. To be clean. I wanted to do things the right way. Well I proved last Sunday that nice guys do indeed finish last. And for this reason, I will no longer be the nice guy I have been. From this day on I will do whatever it takes to succeed. I will do whatever it takes to dominate. And you better believe I will do whatever it takes to become the next EBWF Breakout Champion!

.:: Sandow turns around to see the kid walking back into the library. The kid is sweating from running after his medal as you can see sweat beads running down his forehead and a sweat stain around the neck of his shirt. Sandow puts his hand out in front of him as if to tell the kid to stop entering. ::.

Damien Sandow: Stop there kid! I defeated you. You are a loser. You don't deserve to enter this library of winners! That medal you wear around your neck is only yours by default now, because I didn't want it!

Kid: I know you got me last time, but I am invoking my rematch clause right now!

Damien Sandow: Rematch Clause? Kid this isn't wrestl.... Oh forget it. I accept! But under one condition.

.:: Sandow walks over to the table where he and the kid had been playing chess. He reaches down into a duffel bag that was next to his chair and pulls out his brand new EBWF T-shirt. He opens it up to show it to the kid and then tosses it at him. ::.

Damien Sandow: For God’s sake take that pathetic Santino shirt off and wear something more marvelous!

.:: The kid grabs the shirt and wads it up in his hand. He then throws it on the ground and jumps up and down on in several times. ::.

Damien Sandow: What are you doing?! Kids in third world countries would love to cover their selves up with that shirt! Guess what kid, you just blew it! We will have a rematch, but it will be on my terms! Now get out of here! You are making this place a lot less alluring!

.:: The kid again puts his head down and turns around. As he does a car pulls up with a man inside. The kid enters the car and closes the door. He rolls the window down and yells as the car drives off, "I'll beat you next time jerk!" Sandow turns around and walks toward the table that holds the chessboard again. He stands next to the table. ::.

Damien Sandow: This is a chessboard. There are a total of 32 pieces, only 16 of which are yours. The average player controls their pieces and their pieces only. The great players, like myself, control every piece. See, I can only move a certain amount of pieces personally, but, with the moves I make I control their movements. I make strategic maneuvers to where they can only move to certain places, falling right into my trap. Santino, on the chessboard known as the EBWF, I am the King. I am the most important player. I am the one the unwashed masses come to see. And when it is all said and done, I am the one left standing when the match is over. In this same World, you are a measly pawn. A piece that can only move certain ways. A piece that is not needed. A piece that people use to help protect The King! A lot in the same ways this relates to us as wrestlers, Santino. You are one wrestler like all other wrestlers. There is nothing unique about you. You are one OF a million. I on the other hand am very unique. There are no others like me. I am one IN a million, one OF a kind!

.:: Sandow bends down and picks up his duffel bag. He begins to walk out of the library and as he does a black luxury bus pulls up. The camera follows behind Sandow as he walks outside. The bus door opens and Sandow takes two steps onto the bus. He turns around to address the camera one more time. ::.

Damien Sandow: Santino, tonight when I step into that ring with you, you will fall into my traps. You will make the moves I allow you to make. You will be embarrassed by yours truly! Santino; tonight, Warfare, CHECK.MATE! You’re Welcome!

.:: Sandow turns around and walks onto the bus. The door closes and you see Sandow walk to the front seat and sit down. The bus drives off and as the camera follows it down the road the camera fades to black. ::.
