Wrestlezone:
Something of a surprise here as Cody Rhodes announced via his twitter account that he has returned to the EBWF. Rhodes was a fixture in the midcard for a few years before getting the opportunity for a main event push. He took the ball and ran it, becoming a World Champion, and main evented pay per views against CM Punk. This was all derailed as Rhodes and owner Wes Ikeda never got along behind the scenes and the second generation superstar was very outspoken about his dislike for Ikeda.
During a Warfare segment, Wes interrupted a promo Rhodes was cutting and shot on him and a completely unscripted segment. Rhodes was infuriated and the two had a confrontation backstage that may or may not have become violent. Rhodes almost instantly got out of his contract following these events and the World title was vacated.
But with Wes all but vanishing, this appears to have led to Cody's reappearance. No word yet if he will continue with the masked gimmick he was using during his title reign.
